Our Philosophy

At Family Counselling Centres, we have abandoned the one-size-fits-all approach to mental health and wellness. We recognize that each case is acutely different than the next and that traditional office therapy may not always be the best approach in treatment.

This is why we believe in holistic wellness; an approach that considers the whole person – body, mind, spirit, and emotions. We also utilize the latest research in brain development, mental health methodology, and provide referrals to those in our community who can further assist in the care of the individual seeking help.

As social creatures, our human connections are the building blocks of the nurturing environments we rely on to emotionally and mentally flourish. This is why our focus on re-establishing supportive bonds is a central element in all of our treatments. We adhere to the belief that people have the innate capacity to live up to their full potential if such an environment is accessible.

We are proud to have received the 2015 Start-up of the Year award from the Leduc Regional Chamber of Commerce. Every year they host a Gala to recognize businesses and organizations that are growing with sustainable practices and active in the community. Congratulations to all the other reward recipients and nominees.

Message From Our Founder

“Our clinical team strives to provide members of our community with safety, acceptance, respect, understanding, helpfulness, empowerment, and input. We want our clients to know it’s not simply a job for us, but a privilege to get to know you and to join you on your journey. Everyone is coming from their own unique situation in life so our clinicians will ensure they fully understand each client or family individually to relate effectively to your purposes for seeking help. Whether it is to process aspects of your life in order to make sense of what you are going through, to gain perspective or hope, increase communication with your loved ones, or to help your struggling child. We also know that therapy needs to be individualized in order for the therapist and client to connect in a genuine way, and traditional counselling is not always the right path for every person. Accordingly, we strive to offer a therapeutic experience that is as unique as the individuals who are seeking help.”
