I graduated from Minot State University with a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 2005 after having completed a Bachelor of Arts Degreee in Psychology from the University of Regina. I have years of experience working with infant/toddler, preschool, school age children and their families in a variety of settings. I have also obtained experience working with adults in a clinic setting.
I feel honored to be a part of my client’s journey and have the utmost respect for families and the demands that are placed on them. I am committed to ensuring every client I work with is engaged and becomes the best possible communicator that he/she can be. I continually particpate in professional development to ensure practices are current. I teach part-time at MacEwan University in the Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program.
I am a certified member of ACSLPA (Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audologists) and belong to SAC (Speech-Langauge Pathology and Audiology Canada). I am certified in many Hanen Programs, including It Takes Two To Talk, Target Word and More Than Words (Autism). I am also trained in the Lidcombe Stuttering Program, Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), Floortime DIR and Autism Diagostic Observation Scale (ADOS). I have attended both Canadian and American National Conferences, as well as, have attended a wide variety of professional development topics, related to feeding, motor speech and Autism.
