I am a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists and a member of the Psychologist’s Association of Alberta. I completed my Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology at the University of Alberta in 2008. Since then I have worked in a variety of settings providing clinical, community and school based therapeutic services. I work from a client-centered approach and believe that for change to occur there must be a genuine, non-judgmental relationship between the client and the therapist. I believe that therapy needs to be tailored to the individual and as such I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities. These include: play therapy, sandtray, mindfulness, person-centered, emotion focused and cognitive behavioural therapy.
I work collaboratively with my clients to help them gain greater awareness and insight and to create balance within their lives. As well, I seek to empower my clients so they can build and draw upon their own internal resources which are required for successful change and growth.
I work with children, adolescents, adults and seniors and have experience working in a variety of areas including Anxiety, Depression, stress, grief, self harm, relationship issues, attachment/trauma, body image and weight management.
