Areas of Focus

I work with children, teens, adults, and families navigating emotional, behavioural, and social challenges. I have a particular interest in working with children through play therapy, as well as supporting neurodivergent individuals, including autistic individuals and those with ADHD. I also work with individuals experiencing OCD, anxiety, and difficulties with emotional regulation.

My areas of focus include anxiety, OCD, depression, anger, meltdowns, emotional regulation difficulties, behaviour challenges, social struggles, and neurodivergence. I have a particular passion for supporting children through play therapy, using play and creative approaches to help children express themselves, make sense of their experiences, develop emotional awareness, and build coping and problem-solving skills.

I specialize in OCD treatment using Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). When working with children with OCD, I integrate play therapy with ERP to make exposure-based treatment developmentally appropriate, engaging, and accessible. With teens and adults experiencing OCD, I primarily use ERP to help them face their fears and break free from the cycle of OCD.

Specialized Training

I have specialized training in play therapy, including 80 hours of advanced play therapy training through the Rocky Mountain Play Therapy Institute, as well as training in Sand Play Therapy. I am also trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP).

About Me

I believe that therapy should be adapted to the individual rather than expecting every person to communicate or engage in therapy in the same way. My approach is warm, collaborative, strengths-based, and neurodiversity-affirming.

When working with children, I use play therapy, expressive arts, and other creative approaches to provide developmentally appropriate ways for them to communicate and explore their experiences. For some individuals, particularly those who find verbal communication challenging, art and other expressive approaches can provide a more natural and accessible way to communicate thoughts, feelings, and experiences.

I also integrate play therapy and ERP when treating OCD in children, allowing exposure-based treatment to be introduced in a way that is engaging and appropriate for their developmental level. With teens and adults, I use ERP as my primary approach for OCD treatment. Across all of my work, I aim to create a space where clients feel understood, supported, and empowered to work toward meaningful change.

I Also Enjoy:

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me with a crochet project in my hands, on stage performing improv, or somewhere outdoors! I love skiing in the winter, hiking when the weather cooperates, getting to the gym, and generally finding any excuse to get outside and stay active. I’m also always up for trying something new, being creative, and having a good laugh.
