Registered Provisional Psychologist
My name is Kristianna and I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist and a Canadian Certified Counsellor.
My primary focus is with children, adolescents, and parents but also enjoy working with individuals of all ages.
Therapy is a journey that I am honored to be a part of with my clients. I take an integrative approach to therapy where I use a variety of therapeutic approaches to customize therapy to suit an individual’s needs. I use a client-centered approach to therapy, which also integrates a wide range of modalities, including but not limited to play therapy, sandtray, cognitive-behavioral therapy, attachment theory, dialectical behaviour therapy, mindfulness, and Theraplay.
In addition to obtaining my Masters of Counselling Psychology degree with a specialization in school and youth from Adler University in 2019, I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Alberta in 2017. I have over five years of experience working with youth that have a wide range of developmental disabilities. I have also volunteered extensively with high-risk youth that are impacted by mental health, as well as individuals with terminal illnesses. Currently I am working towards becoming a Registered Play Therapist.
I am both excited and honored to be an integral part of the Family Counselling Centres team!
