Office: Leduc and Edmonton
I believe people are wired for resiliency and personal growth. My job is to support clients in getting there. Taking a strength-based approach, I work with individuals to build on existing resources in order to gain new skills and perspectives. In terms of therapy techniques, my first priority is building a genuine connection with clients. Taking time to understand their unique needs, I can then match the approach to the person. Examples include: Cognitive Behavioral, Solution-Focused and Play therapy. I also have experience working in schools and with addictions, but my focus on digging deep and exploring underline themes works well for a variety of clients. Overall, I work with children, adolescents, adults, families and couples to explore solutions and enact positive change.
My certification is as follows: Provisional Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists, member of the Psychologist’s Association of Alberta, Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University.
