Registered Provisional Psychologist
I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologist, and a member of the Psychological Association of Alberta. I have a Master’s degree in Education, specializing in Counselling Psychology from the University of Alberta.
I have over 5 years of clinical experience working with individuals of all ages. Recently, my focus has been toward older children, youth, and young adults. I use a variety of therapeutic approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and emotion focused approaches to treat depression, anxiety, relational problems (including parent-child), trauma, and other issues, such as low self-esteem, school refusal and difficulty coping. I also use EMDR and expressive art to treat the impact of trauma.
I firmly believe in the power of supportive relationships for children and adults alike; thus, I strive to use genuine warmth and presence to build trust and support in order to foster growth and development.
I work with my clients in a very collaborative manner to set and work toward therapeutic goals, using a counselling approach most suited to the client. Currently, I am accepting new clients of all ages for individual and couples therapy.
